Today, I'd like to take you inside our daily inspection process and show you how the QC team safeguards the quality of every PCBA through their daily work.

Preparation Before Inspection: The Standardized Checklist

Every morning at 8:30 AM, the QC team gathers for a brief meeting to assign the day's inspection tasks. Each inspector carries not just a magnifying glass and an ESD wrist strap, but more importantly, a detailed Daily Production Line Inspection Checklist.
This checklist covers six key dimensions:

• *Operator Compliance: Check whether ESD protection measures are in place and the operation method complies with SOP.
• *Equipment Parameter Stability: Check whether the reflow oven temperature profile is within control limits and the pick-and-place machine accuracy meets standards.
• *Material Usage Accuracy: Check whether material labels match the actual components and moisture-sensitive device controls are being followed.
• *Environmental Suitability: Check whether temperature and humidity is within the standard range and the grounding of the anti-static floor is normal.
• *Process Execution Consistency: Check whether solder paste thickness is within specifications and the on-site inspection standard for the furnace has been implemented.
• *First Article Validation Completeness: Check whether the first article after the line change has been fully inspected.

This checklist isn't static. We dynamically optimize it quarterly based on historical quality data, customer feedback, and process improvement.

On-Site Inspection: Start From Foresee

Inspection requires the dual perspective of a microscope and a telescope.

• The Microscope Perspective: We spend at least 15 minutes at each production line observing operational details. For example, is the operator handling PCBs correctly? Is the solder paste thawing time adequate? Is the pre-reflow inspector sufficiently sensitive to identifying minor bridging? These details often determine the upper limit of final yield.
• The Telescope Perspective: Inspectors need to connect the day's observations with historical data. For instance, if they notice a slight increase in the rejection rate of a particular placement head—even if still within specifications—we will schedule maintenance in advance to prevent it from escalating into a large-scale placement offset issue.

During inspections, we adhere to the "Three Actual" principle—going to the actual place, observing the actual product, and understanding the actual situation. When an abnormality is found, we immediately communicate with the production line leader, confirming, recording, and rectifying the issue on the spot.

• Closing the Loop: A Fast Track from Discovery to Resolution
• We have a robust closed-loop management system for issues found during inspections:
• Minor Issues: On-the-spot correction was made, and the operator immediately carried out the rectification. The inspector then rechecked and confirmed 30 minutes later.
• General Non-Conformities: Fill out the "Production Line Inspection Abnormality Notification Form", clearly define the responsible person and the rectification deadline, and have the QC conduct tracking and verification.
• Systemic or Recurring Issues: Initiate the PDCA cycle, organize cross-departmental special meetings, analyze the root causes and formulate preventive measures, and update the FMEA document.
