Smart Door Lock PCB Assembly

A smart door lock is an advanced version of a traditional mechanical lock, offering improved user safety, identification, and management. Smart door locks are essential components of access control systems.

There are four types of printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in smart door locks: internal, external, switch, and antenna housings. All of these PCBs are made from FR-4 material and feature a lead-free tin surface treatment, a green solder mask, and white silkscreen printing. The internal PCB consists of four layers with blind holes, measuring 150 mm by 180 mm. The external PCBs, while similar in size and shape, do not have blind holes.

For internal PCBs, in addition to assembling components, it is necessary to solder springs, coils, and flat connectors, which requires horizontal welding and angle protection. After assembling the four types of PCBs, they need to be connected with wires. There are three types of wires used: two-pin, three-pin, and ten-pin. The ends of these wires are inserted into plastic housings and are color-coded to help customers easily distinguish between the two ends of the same wire.

To ensure secure connections, heat-shrink tubing is placed around the wires. It’s important to maintain an even distance between the ends of each wire, as well as to ensure the heat shrink tubing fits properly. If it is too tight, it could damage the wire; if it is too loose, it may not hold securely. Finally, the four types of PCB boards are connected with the finished wires.
